My practice of yoga began in 2018, when I took a week off from work and family life. I went to a beloved, quite, place in Vermont where I intuitively began to look inside and explore alternative ways of living and being. The constant in this week off was a daily practice of Fluid Yoga in the vinyasa tradition. I found a deep sense of presence by practicing intentionally fluid movement and mindful meditation.
Since those days of exploration, I have continued to learn and deepen my practice of yoga and meditation. In 2023, I completed my 200-hour teaching certification through the Fluid Yoga School led by Jennifer Frey at Newfane Village Yoga in Newfane, Vermont and have been teaching ever since.
I find my yoga practice provides me with a sense of calm, peace, letting go and being present. Breath and breathing have become central to my practice. Yoga has grown beyond the mat and has become a lifestyle, a way of be-ing for me. I strive to share love, compassion and my passion for yoga through my teachings.
In the spring of 2026, I was faced with some of the most difficult moments I have ever experienced, personal health issues. During this time, I leaned heavily on my practices, as well as living each day, moment by moment, with gratitude and an open heart. My constant affirmation was "Just Breathe". This reminded me to pause, be grateful for the present moment, focus on my breath and just breathe.
In addition to yoga, I am a lover of the outdoors. Whether I am hiking, caring for my many animals, in the flower field, my garden, or just appreciating the beauty of mother nature, you will often find me barefoot.
